I've compiled some facts, if anyone can tighten the dates or add information, please do so in this thread.
Stuart engine change dates

S50 change from round crank changed between 1972 & 1978

No 10 V  new trunk design 1933

Stuart double 10 V introduced between 1933 & 1935

No 8  crosshead changed between 1933 and 1935

Another change was the thread sizes in 1953.

This is the photo you sent me a while back about the change from BSW witworth to BA.

Bit more research with some updates

Stuart engine change dates

1926 Star engine introduced, also 5A, 7A, new Simplex

1930 5&7 dropped

1933 No 10 new trunk design

1933 & 1935 Stuart double 10 V inroduced between

1933 and 1935 No 8  crosshead changed between

1933 Stuart Meteor introduced

1940/41 Sirius introduced

1950 Threads changed from BSW to BA

1961 Beam engine introduced between1953 & 1961

1961 Steam hammer intoduced

1972 to 1978 S50 change from round bell crank
